Recall

I don't quite remember what resolutions I have set in 2010 for 2011. That's the problem - if I don't write/type them somewhere, I will never achieve those. Hehe.

2011 was quite an eventful year for me:

January
- We were one year old together. :P

February
- Staycation at The Sentosa Resorts & Spa (which is part of the Valentines' Day celebration)

March
- Went to Kuala Lumpur for a short trip, but main motive was to attend Jay Chou's KL Concert. Had an awesome time because the Malaysian fans were so spontaneous.

- Went to Japan and the boyfriend proposed at the plum groves next to the Osaka Castle. So so beautiful and romantic. Never felt happier than that moment. :)

May
- Bought our first micro 4/3 camera, Olympus E-PL2 in white. Love the pictures taken then. But it was not long after I realised that I need a better camera.
- Attended Kenn & Karin's wedding, and Karhing & Sam's wedding together.

July
- Attended Roger & Pecilia's wedding.
- Purchased the N43SL Jay Chou laptop. It was a gift from the boyfriend. :)

August
- To Bali with love. Enjoyed the stay at Aston Bali and The Bidadari Luxury Villas & Spas. Realised we both really enjoyed our time in Bali, more than Phuket.

October
- Attended Loud Festival (Singapore stop) with Huiling. Had a great time, though Jay only performed for less than 45 minutes. :)

- Celebrated both our birthdays in a low profile manner. No gifts. Just dinner, for the both of us. :)
- We both helped out in Haojie & Lihui's GuoDaLi.
- Attended Zaki & Saiedah's wedding.
- Boarded the Singapore Flyer with the boyfriend and his family.

November
- Staycation at Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Love the hotel room, huge bathroom and the amazing Skypool.

- DBS D&D 2011 held at the 5000-ballroom! Emcees that night were Gurmit Singh and Vernetta Lopez

- Attended Haojie & Lihui's wedding, and Joe & Aubrey's wedding.
- Had free tickets for Crowd Lu's Showcase. Thanks Melvin!

December
- Christmas gatherings with different groups of people on the week before Christmas.
- Attended Alvin & Beverly's wedding.
- Yellow Christmas celebration with APT.
- Will be attending Khalid & Nadia's wedding on 31st Dec.

As you can see, 2011 has been an eventful one. I hope 2012 will be the same, or even better.

My resolutions for the coming year:
- Eat healthily for 2012. (Coincides with my dieting plan. Heh)
- Save more money.
- Prepare the wedding celebrations early.
- Be more patient to the people I love and care.
- Work hard, play hard.
- Be even happier - this includes "deleting/removing" the negative energies/people around me.

Till then.

Merry Christmas

This post came a little late, but I just wanna say, I had an awesome Christmas! How about you? :)

Alvin & Beverly's Wedding

Had a chance to attend my cousin's wedding at Marina Mandarin. And also had a chance to take the 60D out to play. :P

Congratulations to the guy whom I spent weekends (many many years ago because our parents had to meet for weekly mahjong sessions) together at the playgrounds since young. And it's scary to know that we are all grown up, setting our small families soon. :)

(p/s: Quite satisfied with the photos taken with the 60D, mounted with a Sigma 30mm f1.4 .)

Tonkatsu by Ma Maison & Blue Mountain Cafe

Christmas gathering with TheJayHood. We had Tonkatsu this time, and it is as good as Saboten's.

The place was quiet at 6pm, but the dinner crowd soon flow in shortly after we have warmed the seats.

Food is good, but can't say so for the service. One of the managers kept sending their service staff to check if a friend is coming. At least once in every 10 minutes. We can see that your restaurant is very packed, but when we say our friend is coming very soon, you don't have to keep checking with us for so many times right? Rude is the word.

Rice (both white and multi-grained), miso soup and cabbage are refillable with any set dinner purchase. The pork loin I had (160g) cost about $22.80 before taxes.

Anyway, expect to wait more than 1/2 hour during peak hours.

And we walked to Somerset 313 for desserts. Their mudpie is something to rave about. Ice water are charged at 30cents per cup (not sure if refillable). The table next to us had pasta which smell really good. Will try their food someday. :)

Not forgetting the gifts exchange! :)

Ministry of Food

Ministry of Food is one of my favourite Japanese cuisine restaurants in town. Love their set meals and the desserts after dinner. :)

Christmas!

My first Christmas gift this year is a gift from the boyfriend. :) And indeed, Christmas came early this year! Thank you, baby!

Fancl Deluxe Tense Up

Bought 2 boxes (20 bottles) of Fancl Deluxe Tense Up at Isetan for $77.40. Special promotion of 30% discount, and additional 10% if you spend above $80 when pay using POSB/DBS cards. Super good deal I must say!

Marvelous Cream

Just the thought of cream can make me feel fat already. We had desserts after a light dinner last night. And chose Japanese waffles with cream over Yami Yogurt. :X

Love the Chocolate Banana with Custard waffle. Reminded us of those we had in Osaka, Japan.

Jones the Grocer

Dinner with R&P at Jones the Grocer @ Dempsey Hill. Nice place, good ambience. A recommended dining place if you want good food, with a quiet setting.

The boyfriend and me had a Wagyu Beef with Blue Cheese Burger, and another side dish - Baked Potato Wedges. Desserts were settled at the Ben & Jerry's, which is located at the next block.
