Tonkatsu by Ma Maison & Blue Mountain Cafe

Christmas gathering with TheJayHood. We had Tonkatsu this time, and it is as good as Saboten's.

The place was quiet at 6pm, but the dinner crowd soon flow in shortly after we have warmed the seats.

Food is good, but can't say so for the service. One of the managers kept sending their service staff to check if a friend is coming. At least once in every 10 minutes. We can see that your restaurant is very packed, but when we say our friend is coming very soon, you don't have to keep checking with us for so many times right? Rude is the word.

Rice (both white and multi-grained), miso soup and cabbage are refillable with any set dinner purchase. The pork loin I had (160g) cost about $22.80 before taxes.

Anyway, expect to wait more than 1/2 hour during peak hours.

And we walked to Somerset 313 for desserts. Their mudpie is something to rave about. Ice water are charged at 30cents per cup (not sure if refillable). The table next to us had pasta which smell really good. Will try their food someday. :)

Not forgetting the gifts exchange! :)
